Two recorded laps.

Max Verstappen · Canadian Grand Prix 2025 · Race · Lap 61: 1:14.491 · Lap 62: 1:14.287

The speed, selected gear, RPM, throttle and brake channels shown on the homepage come from OpenF1’s historical car-data endpoint. They are sampled public timing-feed telemetry, not a full-resolution engineering data stream.

How it plays

The introduction begins late in lap 61. Page scroll continues across the timing line into lap 62 and ends at its finish. The dashboard shows the nearest recorded sample, with no invented speed or inferred gear. Position is independently sampled and matched by nearest timestamp. Lap 61 has 272 car-data samples and 279 position samples, with a maximum offset of 0.245 seconds. Lap 62 has 285 car-data samples and 292 position samples, with a maximum offset of 0.256 seconds.

The 3D scene

Both laps use the same centreline, derived from lap 62’s approximate x/y positions; lap 61 telemetry is mapped onto that shared curve. A tiny reverse location step is interpolated for display to prevent a folded road edge; original downloads remain unchanged. Track height is flattened. Buildings, stands and camera moves are artistic reconstructions, not surveyed geometry. Entering the garage is a narrative camera detour, not a claim that Max made a pit stop on this lap. Photo alignment is approximate, not an exact reconstruction of Jimmy’s camera position.
